National Reconciliation Week

National Reconciliation Week

National Reconciliation Week (27 May–3 June) is a national moment to learn about our shared histories, cultures and achievements, and to reflect on how each of us can contribute to reconciliation in Australia.

These dates are significant: 27 May marks the anniversary of the 1967 Referendum, and 3 June marks Mabo Day, commemorating the High Court decision that overturned terra nullius and recognised Native Title.

This year’s theme: All In

The National Reconciliation Week 2026 theme: All In is a call for all Australians to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation, every single day. At its heart, All In reminds us that reconciliation is not a spectator sport. It's something we actively participate in through the choices we make, the conversations we have, and the actions we take.

We’re proud to be a place where people come together, and National Reconciliation Week is an opportunity to keep building understanding, respect and stronger community ties right here at Indro.

We acknowledge we are on the Traditional lands of the Yuggera-Turrbal peoples, the Traditional Owners of the land we call Indooroopilly. Indooroopilly is a traditional name, commonly understood to mean “gully of leeches” — a reflection of the area’s natural environment and rich cultural heritage.

Ways to be All In this week (and beyond)

If you’re looking for simple, meaningful ways to take part, here are a few ideas to start with:

  • Choose one resource to read, watch or share, then start a conversation about what you’ve learned with someone else. A great place to begin is the National Reconciliation Week hub. You can also explore First Nations reads in centre at QBD Books and Dymocks.

  • Download the colouring sheet to spark a conversation with little ones. It’s a simple, thoughtful way to begin learning from an early age. You can also pick up a copy from Customer Service on Level 2 throughout the week.

A small step counts

Being All In doesn’t require perfection — it starts with showing up, staying curious, and committing to actions that create change over time.

This week, we invite our community to take one step: learn something new, start a conversation, share a resource, or support an initiative that helps strengthen reconciliation not just during National Reconciliation Week, but every day.
