INDRO! A/W Styling with Sarah Birchley
Meet Sarah Birchley, the talented face behind our Autumn/ Winter 2024 Campaign fashion styling. Known well for her extensive portfolio in editorial fashion styling and creative direction, Sarah brought a breadth of sophistication and freshness to the campaign. Her strong footing with local and international brands within the luxury and high fashion space, has led to some of her most renowned work in publications such as Vouge Australia, Harper’s Bazaar Australia, Russh, Elle and Marie Claire.
We sat down with Sarah to find out what inspired her for our campaign and her top tips on autumn/winter styling.

What was your inspiration for this campaign and how are you incorporating it in the looks today?
For this campaign we wanted to highlight the vibrancy of the autumn/ winter fashion available at Indooroopilly. I focused on pulling pieces from the retailers that had interesting textures and bold colours, to work in with the art direction elements of coloured backgrounds, and enigmatic movement.
What trends are you noticing in fashion for the season?
I'm excited by the rich warm tones that we are seeing for autumn/winter. There is lots of plum, burgundy, and deep reds showing up both in men's and women's wear. I love the way that these colours have been treated on the runway at Gucci by Sabato de Sarno in thigh high boots, leather jackets and ladylike top handle bags. You can easily update your look by investing in one key piece in this colour palette and pairing it back with the neutrals in your existing winter wardrobe.
There's also a return to bohemian and country styling which I think we will continue to see right into Summer - think cowboy boots, fringing, embroidery, and double denim. Thank you, Beyoncé - I'm excited!
Is there a standout piece from today's shoot?
I am in love with the apple green suit from BOSS that we shot on Ellie. The tailoring of this suit and the vibrancy is perfection!
What's your favourite hack for A/W styling?
I like to layer knitwear or outerwear with dresses or skirts, to get more wear out of my wardrobe all year round. It’s an easy way to elevate your look!
What is your one A/W wardrobe staple and why?
Narrowing down one item is too hard! I always have a great pair of boots - currently I'm obsessed with my Miu Miu motorcycle boots and have been pairing them with everything. I also love a fun fluffy slide or sandal and have a few pairs which I rotate, they're particularly good for days when I'm shooting in the studio over winter. I travel a lot for work and always have a soft warm cardigan for the plane - this is something that I need all year round, but often gets pulled out at home over the winter months too!
