Sunlit 10th Anniversary Car Giveaway

To celebrate Sunlit Asian Grocer's 10 year Anniversary, you have the chance to win a Mercedes-Benz A180! 

To enter the draw to win, spend $50 in-store in a single transaction or purchase selected items to enter the draw. Customers must write down their details such as name, email address, and contact number on the tickets and drop them into our lottery box.

Giveaway runs from July 1st, 2024 to October 20th, 2024. 

Event Details:
  • Draws: The draws will be conducted at all Sunlit stores.
  • First Draw: We will conduct the first draw at all stores on October 20th after midday. Each store will hold 10 tickets, leading to the final draw.
  • Final Draw: All tickets will be consolidated at the Garden City store where the final draw will take place on Sunday, October 27th, 2024. Participants must be present on the day for the final draw.

Terms & conditions

Terms and Conditions

  • Eligibility: Participation in this event constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions. Participants must be legal residents of Australia and must be aged 18 years or older. Employees of Sunlit Supermarket and their immediate family members are ineligible to participate.
  • Entry Deadline: The entry deadline is 12:00 PM (midday) AEST on October 20th, 2024.
  • Ticket Details: Customers must write down their details such as name, email address, and contact number on the tickets and drop them into our lottery box to enter the draw. The name on the tickets must match the name on the ID.
  • Eligibility Verification: Participants must provide valid proof of ID and residency upon request.
  • Lottery Process: The draws will be held at all Sunlit stores. We plan to conduct the lottery across all stores on October 20th. Each store will hold 10 tickets, leading to the final draw. All tickets will be consolidated at the Garden City store, where the final draw will take place on Sunday, October 27th, 2024. Participants must be present on the day for the final draw.
  • First Draw Winner Notification: Winners of the first draw, conducted on October 20th, will be notified via phone or email within 48 hours. Failure to establish contact within 3 days of notification will result in the selection of another winner from the draw.
  • Final Draw Participation and Winner Notification: All participants must be present on the final draw day, October 27th, with valid eligibility identification. The winner must provide proof of ID and residency, and the name on the tickets must match the participant's ID.
  • Prize Details: The car model for the giveaway is the Mercedes-Benz A180. Please note that the actual colour of the car may vary from the display model. Additionally, please note that the display model can be different from the prize model. The dimensions are as follows: Height x Width x Length - 1427mm x 1796mm x 4419mm.
  • Prize Transferability: The prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
  • Amendment of Event and Terms: Sunlit Supermarket reserves the right to amend, suspend, or terminate the event or these terms and conditions without prior notice.
  • Decisions: All decisions made by Sunlit Supermarket regarding the event, including eligibility, entry, and winner selection, are final and binding.
  • Disqualification Criteria and Verification of Entry: Sunlit Supermarket reserves the right to disqualify participants from the draw if there is evidence of fraudulent activity or violation of the terms and conditions. Sunlit Supermarket also reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these terms and conditions.
  • Publicity Consent: By participating, participants consent to the use of their name, likeness, and testimonial for publicity purposes related to the event. This may include, but is not limited to, announcements on social media, promotional materials, and press releases. Participation in such publicity is voluntary, and participants will not receive any compensation for it.
  • Force Majeure: Sunlit Supermarket shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these terms and conditions if such failure or delay is caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, strikes, or other labour disputes, riots, acts of war, or governmental restrictions. In such cases, Sunlit Supermarket reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the event or these terms and conditions without liability.
  • Exclusion of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sunlit Supermarket shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the event or any prize offered, except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
  • Taxation: Any taxes (other than GST, if any) which may be payable as a consequence of receiving a prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.
  • Personal Information: Personal information collected for the purposes of the event will be handled in accordance with Sunlit Supermarket's Privacy Policy. By entering the event, participants consent to the use of their personal information as described herein.
  • Governing Law: These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Queensland, Australia.
  • Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this event shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland, Australia.
  • Interpretation: In the event of any inconsistency between these terms and conditions and any other information relating to the event, these terms and conditions will prevail.
  • By participating in the 10th Anniversary Car Giveaway event, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
