Thao, more commonly known as Clara, is the manager of Little Baguette and is the talented decorator behind their stunning cake’s that we can’t get enough of! After arriving in Australia 3 years ago as an international student, Clara started working part-time at the store, and now works full-time with a team of 17 people.

Clara describes Little Baguette (formerly known as Rice Paper Scissors) as “people who love food and would love to share Vietnamese street food with others”. The store came to life in the early 2000s, thanks to a Vietnamese couple called Pam and Jason who were Indro locals. When the store expanded to include a bakery in 2019, the name “Little Baguette” was established. With everything made fresh in store, it’s no wonder the team receive so much positive feedback, smiles and photos from their happy customers.

Clara tells us that the traditional Vietnamese Baguette (Banh Mi Thit) receives accolades as the most popular item on the menu with customers. Clara recommends giving the Classic or Belly Bun a try if you’re a beginner to Banh Mi. Our personal favourite item on the menu is the Pepper Steak Vermicelli Salad – our tummies are rumbling just thinking about it!

Clara loves working with her dynamic team, whose sense of humour makes coming to work each day a joy. When she’s not at work, you’ll find Clara hanging out with friends, shopping and jamming out to her favourite songs at home!  There’s always an exciting new cake in the window thanks to Clara’s creative spark, and we encourage customers to give @littlebaguetteindro a follow on Instagram, where you can stay up to date on which cakes are available, or just to add some “YUM!” to your feed!
